Whether you're thinking of applying for a shipboard job, have already secured an interview, or you simply want to know more about the cruise industry, you've come to the right place!
Working on a cruise ship is definitely no holiday, but it is one of the most amazing and rewarding experiences you'll ever have, should you be fortunate enough to get your foot up the gangway. Although jobs are abundant, competition is fierce, and many seemingly suitable applicants are rejected time and again.
This certificate program will give you a thorough insight into this exciting and enigmatic world, enable you to make an informed decision as to whether ship-life is for you, equip you with the tools you need to sail through an interview, and ensure your first few weeks on board are a success. Not only will you learn about the various roles and responsibilities, nautical terminology, and shipboard operations, you will cover regulatory information, general shipboard safety, and aspects of maritime law that are crucial for you to know. Additionally, you will be given links to live job boards, international recruiters, and other helpful industry related resources.
Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement that can be included on your CV or resume. The course is internationally recognised, endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality and offers 3 CPD (Continued Professional Development) credits. Those who achieve at least 80% in the final assessment will also be eligible for Affiliate grade membership of the Institute of Hospitality.
This certificate course has been written by fellow professionals who have extensive knowledge of the cruise industry and the shipboard environment. It is reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that the information provided is current and accurate.
